Witch Hazel: a mild natural astringent. Helps to reduce inflammation and decreasing oil.
Licorice root contains powerful antioxidants that can neutralize free radicals from external environmental (sun, pollution) and internal (e.g., energy production) stressors. Glycyrrhizin, an active in the licorice root, has a strong anti-inflammatory activity that is similar to cortisol and steroids. Steroids are commonly used drugs in treating inflammatory dermatologic conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis.
Glabridin, an active ingredient in Licorice root, has shown to possesses anti-inflammatory effects and inhibits tyrosinase, a key enzyme that is responsible for making the pigmentation. Liquiritin is another active ingredient, which does not inhibit tyrosinase but it helps to disperse and remove melanin and pigments in the skin. It can lighten and brighten dark spots without any of the side effects that other brightening ingredients bring.
White Willow Bark helps prevent dead skin cell buildup, promoting a clearer, brighter looking complexion. Willow bark is naturally soothing and anti-inflammatory and rich in essential minerals that help maintain healthy looking skin.
SALICYLIC ACID (Organic) A Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA). BHA's are a larger molecule that doesn't get through the pores as quickly. The result is that they stay in the pore and continue to work and help exfoliate the skin to rid the skin of dead surface cells, which break down the build-up that is responsible for the appearance of enlarged pores, acne, and inflammatory conditions.
Burdock: Detoxes and repairs skin, promotes circulation and healing of scars, moisturizes skin, treats acne.

To use, get a clean cotton ball and apply to affected area two times a day to a clean face leave on. Use as a serum after cleansing but before moisturizing.
