Baby Balm/Salve Mom's Little Blessing is an all natural plant-based remedy for newborns and babies up through toddler years. I made this Balm for my boys when they were babies and used the same ingredients while they grew up. I made this for family members and friends kids. The plant based herbs are calming and soothing for babies gentle yet powerful. Our baby balm is the "go to" ointment for your little BLESSING. I've seen how powerful Calendula Medicinal Properties are. My grandson was toddling around and fell into the corner of the wall and hit his head. I can't explain the horror of watching it in slow motion. He had a deep dent/cut in his forehead. I applied the Salve/Balm and the pictures speaks volumes. The Photos are a 5 week period. How could I not share this with other moms and their little BLESSINGS.
Calendula is primarily known as a healing plant because of its soothing abilities. Although a gentle herb, the healing effects derived from Calendula petals are very powerful, making it a must-have in the medicine cabinet. It is beneficial for any wound healing you may need including insect bites, bruises, blisters, cuts, and cold sores.
Calendula has a wide range of wound healing uses, but where it shines brightest is as a "vulnerary," or wound healer. It is useful on all external skin problems and injuries, but especially ones that are red tender, and oozing. It will decrease swelling, clear infection, speed tissue regeneration, and prevent scarring. It can even heal old scar tissue.
Topical application of Calendula is used to keep wounds clean and help new tissue to grow. Calendula oil has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that might make it useful in healing wounds, soothing eczema, and relieving diaper rash. It’s also used as an antiseptic.
Plantain :Plantago major has allantoin which has antibacterial properties. Therefore, once the leaves are applied to wounds it kills the germs as well as bacteria. Thus, speeding up the healing process with the production of new skin cells. Products rich in antiseptic and antimicrobial properties aids in reducing scalp infections such as dandruff, dry scalp, psoriasis and many more. These properties reduce the inflammation in the scalp that causes these scalp infections. Hence, allowing the scalp to function smoothly by producing oil to coat the new growth with moisture and protein needed. Thus, promoting hair growth. Allantoin, an ingredient present in plantain leaf herb, has germicidal and antibacterial properties. Thus, when applied to the wounds topically, this herb helps in killing the germs. It induces quicker healing, and triggers the synthesis of skin cells.
