Elderberry Tincture/Extract from Herbs For Ailment are an excellent alternative to herbal teas or capsules. The Elderberries and Echinacea are cold macerated for 6 weeks in distilled water and certified organic alcohol.

Some Tinctures are made from a single herb or root with a grain alcohol menstrum. Combination Tinctures are made from a combination of herbs and/or roots with a grain alcohol menstrum. Glycerites are made from the herb or root in a 100% pure, Kosher certified, food grade vegetable glycerin and pure Maine spring water.
We use an Alcohol extraction (Vegetable Glycerin-your choice) and a water decoction-
as some herbs (mainly roots) will break down more fully, being decocted first before
being fully extracted.
Extracts/Tinctures are administered under the tongue and absorbed directly into the blood stream.
If you find the taste disagreeable, try adding the herbal extract to a small glass of water or juice.
Our extracts/tinctures are packaged in light-resistant amber bottles and should be stored in a cool, dry place. Typically our products are potent for 3 years + from the date of creation.
